Village BLT 2026 Eligibility Requirements and How to Receive It

Village BLT is a direct cash assistance program funded through the Village Fund and aimed at helping poor families and supporting efforts to reduce extreme poverty. In 2026, the implementation of Village BLT follows the Minister of Villages Regulation Number 16 of 2025, which provides operational guidance for the use of Village Funds in 2026.

The program is not automatically given to every low-income resident. Potential recipients must meet the applicable criteria, while the final list of beneficiaries is discussed through a village deliberation and established by a decision of the village head.

WHAT IS VILLAGE BLT IN 2026?

Village BLT is a form of social assistance provided from the Village Fund to support families experiencing severe economic difficulties. In the 2026 policy framework, addressing extreme poverty through Village BLT remains one of the focuses of Village Fund use. The assistance is intended to help eligible families meet basic needs and reduce the economic pressure they face. The program is therefore targeted rather than distributed equally to all residents.

The maximum amount of Village BLT in 2026 is Rp300,000 per eligible family per month. The assistance may be paid for a maximum of three months at once, depending on the implementation and budgeting decisions of the relevant village.

WHO IS PRIORITIZED FOR VILLAGE BLT?

The main priority is poor families who live in the village concerned and are identified using government-established data. The 2026 rules use Desil 1 of the data for accelerating the elimination of extreme poverty as the primary reference. This means that households identified as being among the poorest are given priority when determining potential beneficiaries.

If the village does not have poor-family data in Desil 1, eligible candidates may be taken from Desil 2 through Desil 4 of the same government data. Families receiving Program Keluarga Harapan or PKH and listed in Desil 1 through Desil 4 may also be proposed as Village BLT beneficiaries.

ALTERNATIVE ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

If the village does not have the relevant government data for poor families, the village head may identify potential recipients using several alternative criteria. These criteria are designed to identify households facing serious economic or social vulnerability. They provide a way for villages to reach people who may need assistance but are not adequately represented in the available data.

The alternative criteria include loss of livelihood, having a family member who is vulnerable to chronic or long-term illness or has a disability, and households that do not receive PKH social assistance. Other eligible circumstances include a single elderly household member and a woman who is the head of a poor family.

HOW ARE VILLAGE BLT RECIPIENTS SELECTED?

The selection process does not rely solely on an individual request for assistance. The proposed beneficiary list is reviewed and agreed upon through a Village Deliberation, which provides a mechanism for community verification and accountability. This process is important because the village needs to ensure that assistance is directed to households that meet the applicable requirements.

After the deliberation, the beneficiary list is formally established through a Decision of the Village Head, accompanied by minutes documenting the agreement reached during the village meeting. Therefore, being poor or economically vulnerable does not by itself guarantee automatic receipt of Village BLT. The household must be included in the officially approved beneficiary list.

HOW TO RECEIVE VILLAGE BLT 2026?

Residents who believe they may qualify should first check their status with the village government. They can contact the village office or the relevant local officials to ask whether their household is included in the government data used for beneficiary targeting. If the household is not listed, residents can explain their economic circumstances and ask whether their situation can be verified under the applicable alternative criteria.

Residents should also prepare relevant supporting information or documents when requested by the village government. The exact administrative requirements may vary depending on local procedures, so applicants should follow instructions from their village rather than relying on unofficial information. The final decision remains subject to the applicable data, village deliberation, and formal determination by the village head.

HOW MUCH VILLAGE BLT CAN BENEFICIARIES RECEIVE?

Under the 2026 Village Fund guidelines, Village BLT is provided at a maximum of Rp300,000 per family per month. The regulation also allows payment for a maximum of three months at once, meaning the amount paid at one time can reach Rp900,000 when the full three-month amount is disbursed together.

However, the amount and payment schedule should not be interpreted as an automatic guarantee of a fixed annual payment for every beneficiary. The village must implement the program according to its approved Village Fund planning and budget and the applicable regulations. Therefore, residents should confirm the payment period and schedule directly with their village government.

IMPORTANT THINGS TO CHECK BEFORE APPLYING

Residents should understand that Village BLT is targeted assistance, so not everyone living in a village is automatically entitled to receive it. The priority is given to poor families based on government data, with alternative criteria available when the required data is not available. The beneficiary list must also go through the village decision-making process before it becomes official.

It is also important to obtain information from official village government channels. Residents should avoid paying individuals who claim they can guarantee BLT approval, because beneficiary determination follows an official administrative process. If there is uncertainty about eligibility, payment amounts, or the distribution schedule, the safest step is to ask the village government for clarification.

CONCLUSION

Village BLT 2026 is designed to support families facing poverty and extreme economic vulnerability through targeted assistance from the Village Fund. The main priority is poor families living in the relevant village, with government data serving as the primary reference for identifying potential beneficiaries. Desil 1 is prioritized, while Desil 2 through Desil 4 can be considered when Desil 1 data is unavailable. Alternative criteria may also be used when the village does not have the relevant government poverty data.

To receive the assistance, residents should check their household data with the village government, provide relevant information when verification is required, and follow the village deliberation process. The final beneficiaries are formally determined through a Village Head Decision. With the right information and proper verification, eligible families have a clearer path to understanding and accessing Village BLT in 2026.
