Academic Leave

Academic leave is a period of not participating in academic activities for at least one semester. Academic leave is given to students who have attended at least 2 (two) semesters since their first registration as a student. During the course of study a student can only be granted a maximum of 2 (two) academic leave, either sequentially or non-sequentially. The semester period when academic leave is not counted as an active semester, so the study period and evaluation of dropouts are adjusted to the semester period when academic leave is granted.

Students who have taken academic leave for 2 (two) semesters are not allowed to leave academic activities again for the rest of their study time. Applications for student academic leave are submitted to the head of the study program/program prior to the implementation of administrative registration.

If a student's application for academic leave is submitted before the administrative registration period, the student will be charged a tuition fee of 25% (twenty five percent) of the total tuition fee per regular semester. The tuition fee must be paid during the administrative registration period. If the application for academic leave has passed the registration period, a 100% (one hundred percent) tuition fee will be charged. Students who obtain academic leave permission are not allowed to participate in academic activities during the current academic leave semester period.
