I am proud to introduce Stekom University to readers. The University of Computer Science and Technology started with a PAT computer and electronics course institution which was founded in 1982. The PAT computer and electronics course institution is committed to providing quality courses at affordable prices as stated in the PAT course's initial slogan ("Cost-saving, quality guaranteed". , graduated ready to work"). In its development, the PAT computer and electronics course institution continued to advance and until it had several branches in Central Java and received an award from the Ministry of Education and Culture of Central Java Province as the first winner of an exemplary course in Central Java. As time goes by and the demands of the times, this course institution continues and in 1994 changed its form to the PAT Academy with the Decree of the Minister of Education and Culture No. 04/D/0/1994 with Electronic Engineering Study Program (Diploma III) and Computer Engineering (Diploma III).

The passage of time made the PAT Academy to innovate and adjust the level of education, until in 2002, in accordance with the Decree of the Minister of National Education No. 235/D/O/2002, the PAT Academy changed its form to the College of Computers and Electronics (STEKOM) or often referred to as STEKOM-PAT with three (three) Study Programs, namely (1) Computer Systems, (2) Electronic Engineering, and (3) Computer Engineering. Over time, STEKOM continues to grow by adding 8 (eight) study programs, namely:

1. Graphic Design (Strata I),

2. Information Management (Strata I),

3. Computerized Accounting (Diploma IV),

4. Computer Graphics (Diploma III),

5. Computerized Accounting (Diploma III) and added with 3 (three) pre-existing study programs.

The dream of changing the form from a high school to a university has emerged since 2018, therefore the PAT Foundation combines two institutions, namely STMIK Provisi which is under the auspices of the Pelita Bangsa Provisional Foundation and the Abdi Husada Midwifery Academy which is under the auspices of the Abdi Sesami Foundation Semarang to become a university. Computer Science and Technology as "STEKOM University" in 2020 through the Decree of the Minister of Education and Culture No. 604/M/2020 by adding 2 (two) new Study Programs, namely the Business S1 Study Program and the Entrepreneurship S1 Study Program. That way, the total of all study programs at the University of Computer Science and Technology are 13 study programs under the auspices of the Prima Agus Teknik Foundation (PAT) which was founded by Dr. Ir. Agus Wibowo, M. Kom., M, Si., M. M.

Currently we continue to develop both the quality of educators and educational facilities. By increasing the accreditation status of study programs, encouraging lecturers to continue their studies and building academic facilities (new lecture rooms) we continue to do, developing institutional collaboration networks, research both at home and abroad is a priority so that we can take part in national development.

We also understand that the world of work requires mental readiness and skills to support the quality of work. To equip students at Stekom University to have an Ormawa (Student Organization. Ormawa is under the auspices of the Student Affairs Division, consisting of the Vice Chancellor III for Student Affairs with two Vice Deans III for Student Affairs Student affairs at the University of Computer Science and Technology plus staff from the Student Affairs Division As an institution, the Student Affairs Division is one of the strategic work units capable of bringing Computer Science and Technology University students into assets of the Indonesian nation with global insight, leadership and work attitude as a team and have integrity based on Pancasila values.

For this reason, we open up the widest possible opportunities for high school, vocational and MA equivalent graduates to join us in continuing their studies at Stekom University. As Plato said "The direction given by education is to start one's life will determine his future" for that we will provide the best possible service for students, and stakeholders who need us.
