The task of the University of Computer Science and Technology (Universitas STEKOM) is to provide education and teaching for senior high schools. In providing education and teaching, the University of Computer Science and Technology (STEKOM University) adapts to the culture of the Indonesian nation and is presented scientifically covering 3 (three) fields, including: 1) Education, 2) Teaching, 3) Research and Community Service in accordance with current regulation.

The University of Computer Science and Technology (STEKOM University) has a function, namely to develop the potential of human resources in the fields of education and non-education who are independent and have integrity in accordance with the demands of sustainable development with non-discriminatory principles.

University of Computer Science and Technology (STEKOM University) To carry out these main tasks by carrying out the following functions:

1. Organizing the development of education and teaching.

2. Produce experts and professionals who are skilled in their respective fields of science.

3. Organizing community service is realized by providing courses, guidance and counseling to the business world and industry and the community, especially in the fields of computer science and information technology.

4. To provide guidance to the academic community in establishing working relationships and partnerships with the business world and industry, both at home and abroad.

5. Organizing entrepreneurship training through seminars and practices in the development of Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs).
