The University of Computer Science and Technology (STEKOM University) builds the character of students to produce graduates who are globally competitive and have an entrepreneurial spirit. The character in question is formulated in INITIATIVE, TARGET and MOTIVATION elements which are very much needed by Human Resources Development (HRD) in all Industries and the World of Work (IDUKA), that is:

3. Have high enthusiasm and motivation.
Education at the University of Computer Science and Technology (STEKOM University) seeks to develop the potential of students, train students to think rationally, and develop students' abilities to deal with change. When studying, students from the University of Computer Science and Technology (STEKOM University) have an active character in college and have the initiative in student creative activities, have clear graduation targets and have good learning motivation. When working, alumni of the University of Computer Science and Technology (STEKOM University) have an active character to work and have the initiative in completing work, have the ability to meet clear company targets and have good work motivation.
The University of Computer Science and Technology (STEKOM University) organizes education, research, and community service based on the Pancasila philosophy which is directed at developing Indonesian people as a whole so that they have character and are reflected in the personality of the academic community. The University of Computer Science and Technology (Universitas STEKOM) develops learning that is active, interactive, innovative, inspiring, fun, effective and motivated by the motto “kuliahnya menyenangkan”.
