History of the University of Computer Science & Technology

STEKOM UNIVERSITY was started by a PAT computer and electronics course which was founded in 1986. Since its inception, the PAT computer and electronics course has been committed to providing quality courses at affordable prices as stated in the PAT course's initial slogan ("Cost-saving, quality guaranteed" ). Therefore, the PAT computer and electronics course continued to advance and develop until it had several branches in Central Java and received an award from the Ministry of Education and Culture of Central Java Province as the first winner of the Central Java exemplary course.

Along with the demands of the times, the PAT foundation in 1994, established the PAT academy with the Decree of the Minister of National Education No. 04/D/0/1994. At first the PAT Academy only gave lectures at the Diploma level, and over time made the PAT Academy innovate and adjust the level of education, until in 2002, in accordance with the Decree of the Minister of National Education No. 235/D/O/2002, the PAT Academy was upgraded to a Computer and Electronics College (STEKOM) or often also called STEKOM-PAT.

In this era of globalization, STEKOM continues to make various innovations both in teaching methods/teaching processes, supporting facilities, or facilities and infrastructure, so that STEKOM can provide as much as possible useful provisions for its graduates to be able to compete and innovate in the world of work.
