The Director General of Vocational Education at the Ministry of Education and Culture, Wikan Sakarinto, said that vocational education must continue to innovate and make breakthroughs. If the university is able to prove that the graduates match the needs of the industry, then it is possible that they will scramble to work together. In line with the wishes of the Ministry of Education and Culture, the University of Science and Computer Technology together with the IEEE, the Institute of Engineering of UABC in Mexico and IGVI organized an international webinar, on December 20th 2020.

Taking the theme "Link and Match Between Education and Industry and Technology Transference", the webinar was opened by the Chancellor of STEKOM University. Speakers are  namely Dr. Marcos A Coronado Ortega, M.Sc; Assistant Prof Dr. Tan Chee Wei, B.S, M.A, P.hD; Dr. Ernesto Bertran Partida, P.hD and Edy Siswanto, S.Pd, M.Pd, the activity discussed the involvement of industry in the learning process to produce graduates according to industry needs.


"Sustainable innovation that builds sustainably between the Government, Industry and Universities" is urgently needed, said Dr. Marcos. Representatives from IGVI added that if what is meant by industry does not have to be on a large scale, UMKM or small industries are also included in this link and match network, said Edy Siswanto.


The theme of this webinar is very much in line with what the Ministry of Education and Culture hopes that there will be strong and sustainable collaboration between the Government, Industry and Universities. So that graduates meet the needs of the industry without long waiting times.
